The Pet Park
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you book a session, why we need it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
The Pet Park is a trading name of The Pet Chef Ltd (Company No: 16533421), registered at Unit 5 Whitchurch District Centre, Oatlands Avenue, Bristol, BS14 0SX. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about privacy at bookings@thepetchef.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and mobile number, so we can confirm your booking.
- Your chosen date, time and the number of dogs attending.
- Your booking reference, payment status and amount. Card details are entered on Worldpay's secure payment page and are never seen or stored by us.
- The 4-digit door code issued for your session, and the record of the confirmation email we sent you.
- A record that you accepted our terms and conditions, including the date and time.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To perform our contract with you — reserving your slot, taking payment, issuing your door code and emailing your confirmation.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the venue secure, resolving booking queries and preventing misuse of door codes.
- Legal obligation — keeping financial records of payments.
We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We only share what is necessary with the services that make a booking work: Worldpay (payment processing), our email delivery provider (sending your confirmation), TTLock (creating your time-limited door code) and our hosting and database provider. All act under contract and may only use the data to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Booking details are kept for up to 24 months so we can deal with queries and safety matters, except payment records which we keep for 6 full financial years as required by UK tax law. Door codes expire at the end of your session and are removed from the keypad.
Your rights
You have the right to access a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred to you. Email bookings@thepetchef.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and your data's security
We use only the essential cookies and local storage needed to run the booking flow and to keep staff signed in to our private admin area. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is required. Our site runs over an encrypted connection, and booking records are stored in an access-controlled database that only authorised staff can read.
Children
Bookings must be made by someone aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information about children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page. Please check back before booking if you would like to review the current version.
